
Aimee Berwick
Aimee is a proud writer of comedy, drama, and music, as well as an avid supporter of the brilliant writing talent in Birmingham and the Black Country.
She is currently part of the BFI Midlands Hub writing scheme Stories to Shorts and is busy writing her first short film, Feral - watch this space!
In 2024, she was selected for BBC Write Across Birmingham and the Black Country, where she developed her comedy-drama Dead Town, set in an award-winning Dudley funeral home.
She co-wrote and composed Chase Tales for Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles and Birmingham Rep in 2024.
She is also alumni of Birmingham Rep’s Write Away programme, where she showcased new work.
Aimee co-produces Story Engine Birmingham with Tom Ward and Rae Mainwaring - a stage-to-screen scratch night. At the July Story Engine event, Rae and Aimee premiered their joint venture The Other Mothers at Birmingham Rep. Watch this space for further developments.
Her one-woman, one-boyband play MAMA/Best Job in the World was supported by Birmingham Rep, NotNow Collective, and Arts Council England in 2020, with further R&D currently in the pipeline.
